Hi Medical Educators.
My name is Karen Aarons and I am a GP in Woodend and a Medical Educator in Victoria.
I have been on the AMEN education planning committee (which co-ordinates the AMEN workshop days) for the past 3 years and have met many of you over that time.
I’ve put myself forward for a role on the AMEN executive and am hoping you will vote me in.
There are several reasons that I’d like to be involved in the AMEN exec.
As evidenced by our recent AMEN day in Sept (with our brief encounter with Penny Shakespeare DHS HWD), we don’t have much of a political foot in the door and I’d like the opportunity to be a voice for Medical Educators.I am worried that the importance of medical educators might get overlooked due to other political agendas and I’m keen to work to avoid this.
I enjoy the challenge of problem solving and applying logic to achieve an outcome.
Like many Medical Educators I am a people-person.
I enjoy networking and sharing knowledge and resources to get the best outcome.
I’m pretty determined and generally a good organiser.
